Voice Operated Transmit (VOX)
Hands free operation when used with VOX accessory.

Emergency Signalling

Sends help signal to a pre-defined person or group of people. The help signal can contain a pre-recorded voice message enabling your whereabouts or status to be determined immediately by the receiving person.

Lone Worker
Added security and safety for individuals who work remotely from their team. The radio enters emergency mode if the user does not respond to the warning signal.

Option Board Expandability
You can expand the existing capabilities by adding one of the following option boards; Encryption for message security, SmarTrunk II for low cost trunking, Voice Storage option board provides voice recorder features allowing you to store and retrieve messages.

External Alarm
Activates the vehicle horn and/or lights on receipt of an incoming call, so you won’t miss a call even when away from your vehicle.

Public Address Mode
This feature allows you to use your radio audio as a public address system simply by adding an external speaker and switch fitted and programmed by your dealer.

Data Capable
A modem can be fitted inside a special expansion head, or external to the radio.

Motorola GM340 is a simple and effective two-way radio for vehicle-based staff, the GM340 can easily increase productivity by keeping users in contact with base and the team.

This radio is available in Western Europe, and is somewhat similar to the North American CDM750 and South American PRO3100.

Motorola CM340 - the smallest professional land mobile radio

The CM340 is designed, developed and built to meet and/or exceed the requirements in MIL-STD as well as their own quality assurance program Motorola ALT™. It is also ingress protected to IP54.

The CM series includes some of the most compact and affordable mobile two-way radios. They also minimise investment for users of earlier models like GM300, GM350 and GM900 by supporting previous generation accessories.

Basic User Guide available also here: Motorola CM340 manual (cbmania.ro)
Programming is possible using the RIB-less cable and proper CPS.

Be aware - even although RigPix is mentioning the VHF1 version (MDM50JNC9AN2AN) with range of 136-162MHz and it is also mentioned in the Commercial Series CM Radios Basic Service Manual 6866545D11-A, I never seen it on the EU market.
Even the CM series Brochure Regional has not this model in the model's table. So, in my opinion the CM family was not available in VHF1 version in EU and standard CM340 units are not suitable for ham radio bands in between 144-146MHz...

If you have more information about this VHF1 version, then please let me know.
